Darkness! Broadbay 8yo Bottling Note

An 8 year old single malt from an undisclosed distillery, which has been given the Darkness! treatment. Before being bottled at cask strength, this whisky was allowed a finishing period in tiny, specially-coopered casks that previously contained Pedro Ximnez sherry. It"s got peat and sherry notes by the bucket-load. It"s by no means a subtle expression. It"s ace. Only 438 bottles were produced.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose:Old leather, raisin, tangy sea salt notes and iodine.
Palate:Bright notes of cinnamon and clove, with dried fruit and stem ginger sticking around. Continued coastal richness.
Finish:A long finish of smoke and sherry.
